Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a seasoned fashion expert with a lifelong love for uncovering the magic where luxury meets everyday style.
Having spent more than ten years in fashion, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that effortlessly marries a distressed, lived-in vibe with refined construction and premium materials. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to guide you through it all with advice shaped by my industry experience. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!
I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also broken them in well that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of common questions, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!
Where did you get them?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th https://greygooseshoes.com and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
How much do they run?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their design features.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also look great.
Discount sources?

Where were you able to get your pair?
I spotted mine on sale via Cettire and bought them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast which was a major plus
How expensive are they?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their standard price is $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
How does the sizing run?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
Very comfy, and only took a few hours to break in.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
